Common use of Grounds Equipment Maintainer II Mechanic and Maintainer Grounds Equipment Clause in Contracts

Grounds Equipment Maintainer II Mechanic and Maintainer Grounds Equipment. III -291 The Maintainer Grounds Equipment I will be promoted to the Maintainer Grounds Equipment II upon completion of two (2) years of satisfactory experience as a Maintainer Grounds Equipment I, if the employee meets the minimum qualification requirements of the current Maintainer Grounds Equipment II classification. -292 A Maintainer Grounds Equipment II will be promoted to the Maintainer Grounds Equipment III classification upon completion of a year of satisfactory experience as a Maintainer Grounds Equipment II if the employee meets the minimum qualification requirements of the current Maintainer Grounds Equipment III classification. -293 Employees classified as Maintainer Grounds Equipment I and II will be allowed release time to take the State of Michigan Certification test for engine repair, electrical systems and manual transmission. The department will pay the fee required for such tests, upon successful completion of such tests. -294 While it is the intent in the foreseeable future to maintain the existing Maintainer Grounds Equipment work force, this Agreement does not preclude the Grounds Department from adjusting the Maintainer Grounds Equipment work force as operational needs dictate.
