Common use of Group Health Insurance Premiums Clause in Contracts

Group Health Insurance Premiums. a. The City will pay one-hundred percent (100%) of the health care premiums for employees and their dependents for employees hired on or before June 30, 2006. For employees hired on or after July 1, 2006, the City will pay one-hundred percent (100%) of the employee’s health care premiums and seventy-five percent (75%) of the employee’s dependents health care premium and the employee will pay twenty-five percent (25%) of the health care premiums for their dependents. b. The City agrees to pay benefit claims costs. The City shall maintain an equal or better standard of group health insurance coverage unless change is agreed to as provided in Paragraph 3 of this Article. c. An Employee on leave without pay over thirty (30) days may continue the coverage by pre-paying the entire one-hundred percent (100%) premium amount to the City, except as provided under the Uniformed Services Employment and Re-employment Act of 1994 and the Family Medical Leave Act.
