Handrails. Sometimes a handrail needs to be removed before we install the stairlift. We would normally ask you to arrange for a local tradesman to do this. We may agree to remove your handrail free of charge. However, we will not carry out remedial work (such as replastering and redecorating) afterwards. We also will not fit the handrail somewhere else. If you would like us to carry out any remedial work or fit the handrail somewhere else, we could arrange for one of our subcontractors to do this for an extra charge.
