Common use of Holiday Credit Non-Eligibility Clause in Contracts

Holiday Credit Non-Eligibility. No holiday credit shall be earned by an employee working an average forty (40) hour workweek for any pay period in which such employee is off duty and not in paid status for more than eight (8) hours of regularly scheduled work. No holiday credit shall be earned by an employee working under the three (3) platoon system for any pay period in which such employee is off duty and not in paid status for more than twenty-four (24) hours of regularly scheduled work, except that when an employee is required to report for work and does so report and is denied work because of circumstances beyond his/her control, absence from work for the balance of that day shall not be counted as unpaid work status.
