Common use of Holiday Leave Day with Pay Clause in Contracts

Holiday Leave Day with Pay. The Christmas Eve holiday benefit may, for those who elect, be instead utilized as a holiday leave day with pay to observe a religious, or cultural or personally meaningful day for all eligible employees subject to the following conditions. The employee needs the approval of their supervisor and must notify the EMPLOYER at least ten (10) days in advance of their intent to take this holiday leave day with pay. The EMPLOYER may waive this ten (10) day requirement if the EMPLOYER determines that the absence of such employee will not substantially interfere with the department's function.
