Common use of Hospitalization/Major Medical Clause in Contracts

Hospitalization/Major Medical. The School Board will participate in the hospitalization/major medical insurance program by paying for full-time teachers the following amounts toward the monthly premium costs of any plan approved by the School Board. Any additional cost of premium shall be borne by the employee and paid by payroll deduction. For the purpose of this section, full-time teacher shall be a teacher whose average work-week equals or exceeds 37.5 hours. Insurance contributions/cafeteria benefits from the district will continue for a period up to one (1) year while on workers compensation leave.
