Common use of Hot Work Clause in Contracts

Hot Work. a) An employee who works in a place where the temperature has been raised by artificial means to between 46 and 54 degrees Celsius will be paid an additional $0.54 or part thereof; with an additional $0.67 or part thereof, where the temperature exceeds 54 degrees Celsius. b) Where such work continues for more than two hours, the employee will be entitled to 20 minutes’ rest after every two hours work without loss of pay, not including the special rate provided for in clause 16.4(a).
