Common use of Hot Work Clause in Contracts

Hot Work. a) An employee who works in a place where the temperature has been raised by artificial means to between 46 and 54 degrees Celsius will be paid an additional $0.54 or part thereof; with an additional $0.67 or part thereof, where the temperature exceeds 54 degrees Celsius. b) Where such work continues for more than two hours, the employee will be entitled to 20 minutes’ rest after every two hours work without loss of pay, not including the special rate provided for in clause 16.4(a).

Hot Work. a) An employee who works in a place where the temperature has been raised by artificial means to between 46 degrees and 54 degrees Celsius will be paid an additional $0.54 or part thereof; with an additional $0.67 - 47 cents per hour or part thereof, where the temperature exceeds exceeding 54 degrees Celsius. b) Celsius - 58 cents per hour or part thereof. Where such work continues for more than two hours, the employee will shall be entitled to 20 minutes’ minutes rest after every two hours work without loss of pay, not including the special rate provided for in clause 16.4(a)by this paragraph.

(b) Where such work continues for more than two hours, hours the employee will shall be entitled to 20 minutes’ a rest period of twenty minutes after every two hours hours' work without loss of pay, not including the special rate provided for prescribed in clause 16.4(a)paragraph (a) hereof.
