Common use of How Accumulated Clause in Contracts

How Accumulated. Each contracted employee will accumulate a total of fifteen (15) days of sick leave per year at the rate of one and one-fourth (1 1/4) days per month of service. Such sick leave shall be accumulated in an amount not to exceed 245 days. A newly contracted staff member will be credited with his/her advancement of five (5) days of sick leave at the beginning of the school year, but these days shall be part of the fifteen (15) accumulated during the school year at the rate of one and one-fourth (1 1/4) days per month of service. Employees on sick leave shall receive their regular daily rate of pay.
