IN-GRADE MERIT PAY INCREASES. In-grade merit pay increases shall be granted upon the approval of the employee’s supervisor and the Fire Chief for continued meritorious and efficient service and continued improvement by the employee in the effective performance of the duties of the position. An in-grade merit increase shall be effective retroactively to the date of eligibility upon approval of the increase.
