Increasing Visibility Sample Clauses

Increasing Visibility. There can be no doubt that visibility is key for increasing mobility. Researchers and students who are unaware of the opportunities that await them cannot be expected to take advantage of said opportunities. Increasing visibility of existing mobility programmes by organising info days at universities, putting up posters and handing out flyers, sending out email blasts, making announcements on university radio stations are some simple yet effective methods that can be utilised. Moreover, students and researchers who are interested in benefiting from mobility programmes are sometimes intimidated by the visa application process. However, the new rules to attract non-EU students, researchers and interns to the EU, which were approved by the Parliament in May 2016, make it much easier for people from third countries to study or do research at EU universities. Raising the awareness of students and researchers on this topic would undoubtedly increase applications to mobility programmes. Furthermore, the importance of putting diplomacy in science should not be overlooked. Getting embassies involved in the process would be a good step toward putting diplomacy in science and raising awareness about visa procedures and increasing the visibility of existing mobility programmes.
