Infrastructure Development. 1. Construction and upgradation of rural water supply schemes in about 3,000 habitations in Punjab which are not covered or are only partially covered by such schemes. 2. Carrying out a program aimed at achieving sustained quality improvements in rural water supply services, consisting of: (a) the provision of goods and works to support the upgradation of existing single village and multi village rural water supply schemes, including the provision and installation of bulk water meters in multi-village water supply schemes and the establishment of a district level contingency fund; and (b) the pilot testing of innovative water treatment technologies related to reverse osmosis, defloridation plants, and portable water treatment plants. 3. Provision of goods and works to support the construction or upgradation of community sanitation schemes, including the upgradation of village drains and rehabilitation of village ponds in about 1,000 selected habitations, and the construction of small bore sewers/sewerage schemes in about 100 selected habitations.
Infrastructure Development. MIDA and Hideout agree to cooperate and coordinate with each other so that Infrastructure, defined below, crossing between and/or intended to serve the Hideout Zone and the balance of the MRF Project Area and other areas of Hideout adjacent to the MRF Project Area are designed and installed so as to work to the betterment of both areas; provided, however, that Hideout will not be obligated to assume any liability, costs, or expenses of any sort for portions of any Infrastructure outside the Hideout Zone unless constructed or owned by Hideout. Infrastructure Development. A construction agreement shall be executed between Party “A” & Party “B” for infrastructure development as per PEC/FIDIC guidelines. That Party ‘B’ shall be obligated to undertake infrastructure development of the housing scheme as per the approved layout plan and services design, in accordance with local/municipal bye laws and standards of concerned development authority, by a contractor/firm/agency of adequate / requisite financial and technical profile as per PEC/FIDIC guidelines. Party ‘B’ will follow PEC rules / guidelines and will use PEC prescribed documents for award of development works including FIDIC / PEC construction agreement. The party ‘B’ shall be responsible for the following: i. Xxxxx, xxxxxxx, xxxxxxxxx, xxxx development, landscaping, retaining walls, main entry gate, culverts, bridges, electrification, water supply system including water lines and sewerage, sui gas lines as per approved layout plan and services design. ii. The infrastructure will also be in conformity to required parameters as notified by the concerned municipal authority / utility organization. iii. Storm water disposal with required gradient as per soil condition in open shall be ensured with mechanism to stop bulk flow during heavy rain / flood season. iv. The laying of main sewerage lines for the scheme up to Sewerage Treatment Plant of Party A in conformity with EPA/ PEPA etc. requirements. v. The laying of underground electrification network (if Topography permits) with street lights from grid station of party A within scheme area shall be established through relevant authority e.g. IESCO etc. following their prevailing standards. vi. The laying of main Sui Gas lines shall be ensured as per number of plots. vii. The laying of main water supply line, development/installation of tube xxxxx with provision of under-ground water tank and overhead tank both with required capacity as per number of plots. viii. Connection / design for main supply of electricity, sui gas and other related approvals etc from concerned authorities shall be obtained from concerned department with related fees / securities / duties etc by party A. Infrastructure Development. 7.1 The GoK shall commence work on the Minimum Infrastructure within fifteen (15) days of the Execution Date and shall complete the Minimum Infrastructure as soon as possible thereafter. 7.2 On completion of the Minimum Infrastructure the GoK shall continue the development of the Infrastructure commensurate with the requirement of the Development Plan in such a manner that the required amount of electrical power and water are made available at the periphery of Smart City when the facilities built by the SPV are ready to draw on the said utilities. GoK shall also complete acquisition of the land for the new 4-lane road connecting to the airport-seaport road and complete the road construction. 7.3 It is hereby agreed between the Parties that all Infrastructure which is to be developed within the area notified as the SEZ/(s) by the Central Government, shall be the specific responsibility of the SPV. It shall not be the responsibility of the GoK to develop any Infrastructure within the Smart City. 7.4 Notwithstanding the provisions of Article 7.1, any delays in completion of the Minimum Infrastructure to the satisfaction of the BoD may be condoned if in the opinion of BoD the delay was caused due to certain unforeseen or extraordinary circumstances and was not attributable to failure on the part of GoK to take necessary steps. However, failure of the GoK to achieve the completion of the Minimum Infrastructure within a maximum of six (6) months from the Execution Date shall constitute a GoK Closing Default andTECOM and its Permitted Affiliate shall be entitled to the remedies as per the provisions of Article 8.1 herein below. 7.5 Without prejudice to the provisions of Clause 7.1 to 7.3 hereinabove, the GoK shall also: (a) Assist the SPV in completion of the fencing of the Site; (b) Assist in obtaining a permanent source of water supply including but not limited to the right to extract ground water from the Site. In the event that ground water or water supplied by GoK is insufficient for the SEZ, the GoK will grant permission or cause the relevant department of the the GoK to grant permission for laying pipes across roads, rivers or panchayat/ public land for the purposes of obtaining water connectivity for the SEZ; (c) Ensure in obtaining relevant approvals and permissions necessary for the construction of linkages between different parcels of land to make them interlinked; (d) Assist in obtaining relevant permission to construct and operate a power generation ...
