Common use of Initial Employment Clause in Contracts

Initial Employment. An employee is deemed to have passed his/her probationary period in a classification upon the successful completion of one hundred thirty (130) duty days in a permanent assignment. Probationary employees are “at will” employees. An employee whose performance is unsatisfactory may be released at the discretion of the employer during the first one hundred and thirty (130) days worked. The employee shall be notified of his or her probationary release by the appropriate administrator.
