Initiation of Group Grievances. 1. Where more than one employee has a common grievance, the Association may initiate a group grievance on their behalf. In such a case, a written grievance may be filed originally with the Human Resources Director, who shall designate the grievance hearing officer who will initially hear the grievance. 2. The same steps and time intervals shall apply as in the individual grievances. 3. The Association shall have the right to initiate a grievance growing out of an alleged violation of association rights under this contract. Any such grievance shall be initiated at Step 2. The remainder of the procedure shall be as provided for the individual grievances.
