Common use of Insurance Contributions During Unpaid Leave Clause in Contracts

Insurance Contributions During Unpaid Leave. Employees who are absent from work and in unpaid status in any month of the school year (September through May) will be responsible for both the District and the Employee contribution toward the monthly insurance premium for any month that they are not in active status for at least ten (10) paid days. Employees that are absent for a qualifying medical event under the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), and who are considered an eligible employee under the FMLA, shall receive the District contribution to their health insurance plan during an approved medical leave as required by the FMLA.
