Intensive Home Based Services (IHBS. IHBS Services must be prior authorized by the Treatment Team see Network Provider Manual, which is located on COUNTY's website, xxxxxxxxxxxx.xxx, under "Behavioral Health Services." Additional information can be found in DHCS Policy Letters and Informational Notices, which are available at the DHCS website. CONTRACTOR shall take all appropriate actions to ensure that no person employed by CONTRACTOR to provide services under this Agreement shall have committed, or been convicted of, any form of child abuse.

Intensive Home Based Services (IHBS. The CONTRACTOR shall provide IHBS services that are provided according to an individualized treatment plan developed in accordance with the ICPM by the CFT in coordination with the family’s overall service plan, which may include, but are not limited to assessment, plan development, therapy, rehabilitation, and collateral. IHBS is provided to beneficiaries under 21 who are eligible for full scope Medi- Cal services and who meet medical necessity criteria.
Intensive Home Based Services (IHBS. CONTRACTOR shall provide IHBS when medically necessary. IHBS are individualized, strength-based interventions designed to ameliorate mental health conditions that interfere with a child’s or youth’s functioning. These interventions are aimed at: helping the child/youth build skills for successful functioning in the home and community, as well as improving the family’s ability to help the child/youth successfully function in the home and in the community. The difference between IHBS and more traditional outpatient Specialty Mental Health Services (SMHS) is that IHBS is expected to be of significant intensity to address the mental health needs of the child or youth, consistent with the child’s or youth’s client plan, and will be predominantly delivered outside an office setting, and in the home, school, or community.

This plan covers office visits or office consultations with an anesthesiologist when provided prior to a scheduled covered surgical procedure.
