The intimacy director will instruct all ARTISTS, including all COVERS, in proper staging of scenes portraying intimacy or sexual violence and any relevant safety protocols such as boundary establishment or use of safe words, or reporting mechanisms if needed. The STAGE DIRECTOR may not overrule the intimacy director’s judgment in this regard. 2. No ARTIST, including STAGE DIRECTORS, may alter stage directions portraying intimacy or sexual violence without the approval or recommendation of the intimacy director except that an ARTIST participating in the portrayal may at any time withdraw their consent to a staging direction to which they had previously agreed to. This shall be announced to all ARTISTS involved in such portrayal before any rehearsals of the scene can begin. 4. The intimacy director must be present at all rehearsals involving the portrayal of intimacy or sexual violence.
