Common use of Joint Occupational Health and Safety Committee Clause in Contracts

Joint Occupational Health and Safety Committee. (a) The Employer shall establish and maintain one (or more) Joint Occupational Health and Safety Committee(s) as provided for in the Occupational Health and Safety Act. (b) The committee(s) shall consist of such number of persons as may be agreed to by the Employer and the Union.

(c) All standards established under the legislation and regulations shall constitute minimum acceptable practice and may be improved upon by agreement with the majority recommendation of the Joint Occupational Health and Safety Committee of the workplace.
