Common use of Jury and Subpoena Leave Clause in Contracts

Jury and Subpoena Leave. (a) A leave of absence with pay shall be allowed for jury duty. Employees may keep jury travel allowances. (b) Leaves of absence shall be granted when an employee is subpoenaed to appear in a court of law. Such leave shall be granted with full pay. The employee shall make reasonable efforts to cooperate with the District to minimize the amount of such leave required. (c) Upon receipt of a jury summons or a subpoena, the certificated employee shall notify the District.
