Jury Duty or Court Proceedings. All employees shall be entitled to leave with pay for jury service if he is unable to be excused or to have such service rescheduled. An employee shall also be entitled to leave with pay when subpoenaed to appear as a material witness in a court proceeding to which neither the employee or the JLESPA/MEA/NMEA/NEA is a party litigant. In the event an employee qualifies for leave under Paragraph E., he/she shall be entitled to receive as leave pay for the days of authorized absence an amount equal to the employee's pro rata daily pay less the amount received as compensation or witness fees. It shall be the responsibility of the employee to secure a notarized statement from the court clerk verifying the amount of such compensation of fees received, and receipt of leave pay shall be considered upon prior submission of such a statement.
