Jury or Court Witness Duty. (i) Where a regular employee, regular probationary or auxiliary employee working full-time shifts in excess of three (3) continuous months has been selected to serve as a juror, or ordered to appear as a witness in any court action, he/she shall be granted leave of absence for such purpose. (ii) Except where the court action is occasioned by such employee's private affairs, the leave of absence shall be with pay, provided that the employee turns over to the District any monies received for such service, other than normal expenses.
