Following the critique of the evidence if there are any doubts as to the outcome of the assessment process, the Kaumatua and Service Manager/Proxy may interview the employee and/or the peer and senior professional assessors. Following this evaluation process, the Kaumatua and Service Manager/Proxy shall make a decision on the appropriate level of competence. If the Kaumatua and Service Manager/ Proxy cannot reach agreement with respect to the evaluation, the decision rests with the Service Manager/ Proxy. Where the assessment justifies advancement to a higher scale then this is a matter for the Service Manager/ Proxy to recommend or approve according to the organisation’s delegated authority policy.
