L unch Periods and Rest Periods. The District shall establish an unpaid duty free lunch period of not less than one-half hour for a unit member scheduled five (5) or more consecutive hours per day. The Board shall provide one paid 15-minute rest period for each unit member for each four (4) hour consecutive period worked exclusive of lunch at times approved by the immediate supervisor, but not during the first or last hour of the work day.

  • Meal Periods and Rest Periods (a) Regular hours of work shall include, as scheduled by the Employer, two (2) rest periods of fifteen (15) minutes during each shift of seven and three- quarter (7 3/4) hours and exclude an unpaid meal period of not less than thirty (30) minutes.

  • Lunch and Rest Periods A. Each employee working more than four (4) hours per day shall be entitled to a minimum of one-half (1/2) hour duty free lunch period without pay.

  • Paid Rest Periods All Employees shall be given a paid rest period of fifteen (15) minutes in the first and second half of their daily shift in an area made available by the Employer. If mutually agreed to between the parties, the two (2) rest periods shall be combined.

  • Meal Breaks and Rest Periods 7.1 Except when required for urgent or emergency work and except as provided in 7.2 below, no employee shall be required to work for more than five hours continuously without being entitled to a meal break of not less than half an hour. There will be only one meal break of not less than half an hour during a 10 hour shift.

  • Meal and Rest Periods For assignments where the employee is unable to leave for a thirty (30) minute meal period (i.e., live-in, shift or respite) the meal period shall be paid as time worked.   • Lunch Periods 3.6.1 All employees covered by this Agreement shall be entitled to an uninterrupted lunch period, which shall be scheduled for full-time employees at or about mid-point of each work shift. If time variations to this schedule need to be established, the wishes of the affected employees and the efficient operation of the District shall be the criteria used to establish such variation.
