Labour Camps. The Contractor shall at his own expense make adequate arrangements for the housing, supply of drinking water and provision of latrines and urinals for his staffand workmen, directly or through the xxxxx Contractors or sub-contractors and for temporary creche (Bal-Mandir) where 50 or more women are employed at a time. Suitable sites on Corporation land, if available, may be allotted to the Contractor for the erection of labour Vol-II Contract & GCC camps, either free of charge or on such terms and conditions that may be prescribed by the Corporation. All camp sites shall be maintained in clean and sanitary conditions by the Contractor at his own cost.

Labour Camps. The Contractor shall provide the necessary temporary workshop and mess- room in position to be approved by the Architect. The work people employed by the Contractor shall occupy or be about only that part of the site necessary for the performance of the work and the Contractor shall instruct his employees accordingly. If practicable, W.C. accommodation shall be allocated for the sole use of the Contractor’s workmen and the Sub-contractor will be required to keep the same clean and disinfected, to make good any damage thereto and leave in good condition.

Labour Camps. Land for setting up a workshop by the contractor or for his labour camp or for any other purpose, shall have to be arranged by the contractor at his own cost and under his own arrangements. The contractor, however, will be permitted to make use of the railway land to the extent that can be made available to him free of cost, by the railway in the vicinity of the site of works. The contractor/s shall at all times be responsible for any damage or trespass committed by his agent and workmen for carrying out the work.
