Landlord Liability Clause Samples
The Landlord Liability clause defines the extent to which the landlord is responsible for damages, injuries, or losses occurring on the leased property. Typically, this clause outlines specific situations where the landlord may be held liable, such as for structural defects or failure to maintain common areas, while excluding liability for tenant-caused damages or personal property loss. Its core function is to allocate risk between the landlord and tenant, clarifying responsibilities and reducing disputes over liability in the event of accidents or property issues.
