Common use of Lead Pay Differential Clause in Contracts

Lead Pay Differential. The University and the Union recognize that many senior level job descriptions include overseeing, directing, training, and/or leading the work activities of other employees. These tasks are recognized by the assignment of higher-level job grades. However, the University will provide a lead pay differential of fifty-five cents (55¢) per hour to employees who are assigned the responsibility of overseeing the general work flow of a unit by training, assigning, and directing the work of two (2) or more employees of the same title and classification.
