Learning Differences Sample Clauses

The Learning Differences clause outlines how an educational institution or service provider accommodates students with diverse learning needs. It typically specifies the process for identifying students who require additional support, the types of accommodations or modifications that may be provided (such as extended time on tests or alternative instructional methods), and the responsibilities of both the institution and the student in facilitating these adjustments. The core function of this clause is to ensure equitable access to educational opportunities by addressing and supporting individual learning differences, thereby promoting inclusivity and compliance with relevant legal requirements.
Learning Differences. A diagnosed learning disability is a condition that has been evaluated by a psychologist, psychological examiner or school psychology specialist and determined to adversely affect a child’s ability to learn through traditional classroom instruction. Copies of test results and suggestions for educational accommodations and/or modifications must be filed in the school office. Upon review by a group of informed individuals (parent, teacher, principal), a “Modified Academic Plan” may be developed to support the individual academic needs of the child. For areas of academics not affected by the particular disability category, the regular education curriculum will apply.
