LEAVE FOR EDUCATIONAL UPGRADING. Employees may request leave of absence without pay for up to one (1) year per the terms of Article 24.06 for the purposes of upgrading their education or qualifications, whether or not the qualifications are related to the position that they currently hold. Subject to operational requirements, such requests will not be unreasonably denied.
