Leave for Non-covered Positions. An Employer and the Local Union involved may agree upon cir- cumstances under which an employee who leaves the bargaining unit covered by this Agreement, but who remains in the employ of the Employer in some other capacity, or who accepts full-time em- ployment with the Union, may retain his seniority if he returns to work in the bargaining unit with that Employer. Any such leave must be in writing on a form authorized by the Joint Western Area Automobile Transporters Committee and filed with that Committee. Any such leave shall not exceed a period of ninety (90) days and shall not be extended. No employee may be granted a leave under this Section more often than once in a fifteen (15) month period.

  • Leave for Family Illness In the case of illness of a member of an employee’s immediate family, meaning spouse, son, daughter, father, mother, or person to whom the employee is legal guardian when no one at home other than the employee can provide for the needs of the ill person, the employee may be granted, after notifying her immediate management supervisor, leave with pay up to five (5) working days per fiscal year, for the purpose of making such arrangements as are necessary to permit the employee’s return to work. The immediate management supervisor may require proof of the need for such leave as she considers necessary.

  • Special Maternity Allowance for Totally Disabled Employees (a) An employee who:

The length of such disability leave, including the date on which the leave shall commence and the date on which the duties are to be resumed, shall be determined by the unit member and the unit member's physician.

  • Use of Vacation Leave for Sick Leave Purposes The Employer may allow an employee who has used all of his or her sick leave to use vacation leave for sick leave purposes as provided in Article 12.2 A. An employee who has used all of his or her sick leave may use vacation leave for sick leave purposes as provided in Article 12.2 B – H.

  • Pension Contributions While on Short Term Disability Contributions for OMERS Plan Members When an employee/plan member is on short-term sick leave and receiving less than 100% of regular salary, the Board will continue to deduct and remit OMERS contributions based on 100% of the employee/plan member’s regular pay.

  • Part-time Employees Eligible for Holidays 331. Part-time employees who regularly work a minimum of twenty (20) hours in a bi- weekly pay period shall be entitled to holiday pay on a proportionate basis. 332. Regular full-time employees are entitled to 8/80 or 1/10 time off when a holiday falls in a bi-weekly pay period, therefore, part-time employees, as defined in the immediately preceding paragraph, shall receive a holiday based upon the ratio of 1/10 of the total hours regularly worked in a bi-weekly pay period. Holiday time off shall be determined by calculating 1/10 of the hours worked by the part-time employee in the bi-weekly pay period immediately preceding the pay period in which the holiday falls. The computation of holiday time off shall be rounded to the nearest hour.
