Common use of Leave for Union Function Clause in Contracts

Leave for Union Function. Upon notification to the Employer, an Employee elected or appointed to represent the Union at Union functions shall be allowed a leave of absence with pay and benefits and without loss of seniority subject to the operations of the Home. The Union shall reimburse the Employer for receipt of such pay and benefits. Such leave must be applied for at least two weeks (2) in advance, and all leaves for all Employees shall not exceed thirty (30) working days per year.
