Common use of Leave to Vote Clause in Contracts

Leave to Vote. An employee shall be entitled to three (3) consecutive hours for the purpose of voting at any provincial or municipal election or referendum and four (4) consecutive hours for any federal election. If the normal hours of employment do not allow this, such additional time shall be given at the convenience of the Employer, as may be necessary to provide such hours while the polls are open.
