Leaves for Other Purposes. 1. Absence for jury or witness service: In such cases, a teacher will be paid the difference between his/her pay for that duty and his/her regular pay provided he/she has cooperated with school officials in attempting to obtain a postponement from such service for the period of the school year. This section shall be rendered null and void if said court appearance is a result of or in connection with other employment held by the teacher.
