Jur y Duty. Leaves of absence with pay shall be granted for jury duty. The employee should notify the District when requesting leave to serve on jury duty within 1 week of their notification of thepossibility.
Jur y Duty. When an employee is called by the crown for jury duty or as a subpoenaed witness and must as a result lose time would have worked.
Jur y Duty. Jur y Duty. An employee who is required to serve on a jury or who is subpoenaed as a Crown witness will be paid his full regular wages for each day lost from work, provided he endorses to the Company the fees received for acting as a juror or a Crown witness, and further provided he reports to work for any he is not required to serve on any case or remain in the Courtroom. Employees who are scheduled to work the previous the following night shift will be paid for the previous shift, will not be required to work either of such shifts, and will be paid the following shift if the court or jury appearance was for four (4)hours or more.
Jur y Duty. A regular employee who is required to be absent from work for jury service shall receive regular straight time pay while absent from work by reason of such assignment or interview or selection to serve as juror, for up to and including 40 hours in any one week. Upon receipt of pay for jury service, the employee shall pay the District the amount received as payment for the day absent from work while serving as a juror, except that the employee shall retain the mileage reimbursement. To be eligible for District payments the employee must notify the immediate supervisor at the time the employee was called for jury service. Jur y Duty. A Nurse who is required to serve as a juror shall be granted leave of absence therefore. The Nurse shall be paid one normal day’s pay for the loss of each day of such service provided she reports for work when not actually required for jury duty and provided the Nurse deposits with the Regional Treasurer the total fees, if any, other than expenses received for service. If a Driver called for Jury Duty on his normal working day, the Company agrees to pay the equivalent of an eight-and-one-half hour (8 day at straight time, less the amount received for Jury Duty pay.
