Legally Obtained Drugs. 1. Employees must not be on the job, on school district property, or operating school district equipment or vehicles while on board of education business while under the influence of any drug - legal or illegal - that renders the employee unfit for duty. An employee is “unfit for duty” if, in the opinion of the Superintendent of Schools, or his designee, the employee’s use of drugs jeopardizes his or her ability to work safely or efficiently. If an employee’s medically required use of legally obtained drugs renders the employee unfit for duty, and in the opinion of the Superintendent of Schools, or his/her designee, a temporary alternative job assignment is not available, the employee will be considered unfit for duty due to illness.

  • Alcohol and Drug-Free Workplace City reserves the right to deny access to, or require Contractor to remove from, City facilities personnel of any Contractor or subcontractor who City has reasonable grounds to believe has engaged in alcohol abuse or illegal drug activity which in any way impairs City's ability to maintain safe work facilities or to protect the health and well-being of City employees and the general public. City shall have the right of final approval for the entry or re-entry of any such person previously denied access to, or removed from, City facilities.   • Firearms The Resident agrees to comply with University policy which states that firearms are not allowed on University property, and acknowledges that California Penal Code section 626.9 prohibits the possession of firearms on University of California property.
