LEGISLATION AND THE COLLECTIVE AGREEMENT. 6.01 In the event that any law passed by the Government of Alberta or Canada renders null and void, or reduces any provision of this Agreement, the remaining provisions shall remain in effect for the term of the Agreement and the Parties hereto shall negotiate, in accordance with the bargaining procedures of the Act, a satisfactory provision to be substituted for the provision rendered null and void, or reduced. 6.02 Where a difference arises out of the provisions contained in an Article of the Collective Agreement, and the subject matter is also covered in Employer regulations, guidelines or directives, the Collective Agreement shall supersede the regulation, guideline or directive.
