Lines of Demarcation (LoD) of Electrical Distribution & Power Generation for Non-critical Facilities. For non-critical facilities, the Contractor shall maintain electrical power generation and distribution systems up to and including the inherent Sub-Distribution Center where the specific Line of Demarcation/Point of Service occurs at the low-voltage input to the breaker of the last step down transformer. For “City-provided” power, there is an additional Line of Demarcation in the direction of the city power source; this requires the Contractor to maintain only the transfer switch that regulates between city and plant-provided power. LOD diagrams for further clarification is at Appendix 1. All electrical work shall conform to the standard to which it was built. In the case of substandard construction, the facility will be brought up to either US or British Electrical Standards, as applicable a standard per agreement between the Contractor and Government by means of a separately priced, by means of work order submission. Should conflicts occur between the criteria provided and the codes, the more stringent of the requirements shall govern. The Contractor shall ensure that electric power availability, that it is responsibility for maintaining, will not be less than 99%. Quality of electric systems operation, maintenance and repair shall be in accordance with AR 420-49, Utility Services.
