Links to the MISIS Project. The Commission on the Protection of the Black Sea Against Pollution is not a partner in this project. The BSC is a member of the Steering Committee for the MISIS Project. Overall goal of this project is to support efforts to protect and restore the environmental quality and sustainability of the Black Sea. Additional specific objectives: to improve availability and quality of chemical and biological data to provide for integrated assessments of the Black Sea; state of environment, including pressures and impacts (in line with Annex I and III of the MSFD) ; to increase number and size of protected areas in the Black Sea as well as to increase their degree of protection; to enhance stakeholders participation and public awareness on environmental issues. The MISIS Project comprises the following work packages: PA 1: Monitoring PA2: Initial testing of the revised monitoring programmes, organization of a Joint Cruise PA3: Contribution to existing database systems PA4: Conservation and protection of the Black Sea through establishment of new MPAs PA5: Increase in sectors expertise, dissemination, public awareness, project visibility PA6: Project management The BSC participates in the project as follows: Project Activity 1: The BSCPS facilitated the organization of a MISIS Workshop with its CBD AG (12-14 February 2013, Istanbul, Turkey, xxxx://xxx.xxxxxxxxxxxx.xx/?task=events). The Workshop discussed the further development of the regional Biological Monitoring Manuals and zooplankton, macrozoobenthos, meiobenthos and macrophytobenthos, and biodiversity indicators improvement. Under this project activity the further revision of the CBD reporting format (to the BSC) was discussed. Project Activity 3: The BSCPS contributed to the analysis of the gaps in data reporting of the MISIS beneficiary countries (Bulgaria, Romania and Turkey) to the BSC. Project Activity 5: The BSC supported dissemination by publication of press releases of MISIS on its web site, and distribution of project outputs through its network.   • Sub-projects 1. The Participating Bank shall make Sub-loans to Beneficiaries and appraise, review, approve, and supervise Sub-projects in accordance with the criteria, conditions and procedures set forth in the Operations Manual, including, inter alia, the following eligibility criteria:

  • PROJECT 3.01. The Recipient declares its commitment to the objectives of the Project. To this end, the Recipient shall carry out the Project in accordance with the provisions of Article IV of the General Conditions.

  • Project Cost Overruns In the event that the Recipient determines that the moneys granted pursuant to Section II hereof, together with the Local Subdivision Contribution, are insufficient to pay in full the costs of the Project, the Recipient may make a request for supplemental assistance to its District Committee. The Recipient must demonstrate that such funding is necessary for the completion of the Project and the cost overrun was the result of circumstances beyond the Recipient's control, that it could not have been avoided with the exercise of due care, and that such circumstances could not have been anticipated at the time of the Recipient's initial application. Should the District Committee approve such request the action shall be recorded in the District Committee's official meeting minutes and provided to the OPWC Director for the execution of an amendment to this Agreement.

  • Generating Facility The Interconnection Customer’s device for the production of electricity identified in the Interconnection Request, but shall not include the Interconnection Customer’s Interconnection Facilities.

  • Credit for Project Work In order to compensate PURCHASER for project work that PURCHASER agrees to complete under the section titled, “Project Work,” of this contract, STATE agrees to credit PURCHASER’s timber account in the sum of $46,657 upon completion of and STATE’s acceptance of all work, unless otherwise approved in writing by STATE.
