FAQ aka Frequently Asked Questions WHAT ARE THE STUDENTS GOING TO TAKE AWAY FROM YOUTH INNOVATION DAY 2018 AT THE #BCTECH SUMMIT? The objective of this program is to engage science and technology oriented students and expand their comprehension of the breadth of technology careers. The students will come away from this program with a better understanding of the technology industry through youth-focused conference sessions; be inspired by winning Science Fair projects, meet mentors from leading B.C. tech companies, and connect with post-secondary recruiters and researchers. The students will get the opportunity to interact with industry professionals, post-secondary schools and listen to speakers such as Premier Xxxx Xxxxxx, Xxxxxx Xxxxxxx (Retired Canadian Goalkeeper, UNICEF Ambassador), Xxxxx Xxxxxxxx (CEO and Co-Founder Two Bit Circus), Xxxxx Xxxx (Founder and CEO Plastic Bank), and innovative leaders in the local technology industry. This event is also a great opportunity for students to get to know other youth interested in similar subjects as them! WHO ARE THE SPONSORS SUPPORTING THE 2018 #BCTECH SUMMIT? Lunch is provided for students and chaperones participating at the #BCTECH Summit Youth Innovation Day. WHAT DOES LUNCH ENTAIL? Students will have be given a boxed lunch which includes a sandwich, salad and cookie. There will be sandwich options of meat, vegetarian, vegan and gluten free.
