Loaner Chromebooks. Loaner Chromebooks are available to students who forget their device at home. • Loaner Chromebooks must be returned in the same condition they were received. • Students may be denied a loaner if they have failed to return one in the past. • No more than one loaner Chromebook will be issued to a student • Loss, misplacement, or failure to return a loaner will result in denial of future loaner access.

Loaner Chromebooks. Loaner Chromebooks may be issued to a student when their Chromebook is being repaired by the school. A very limited number of “loaner” Chromebooks are available. Therefore, having a “loaner” is not guaranteed. Charging a Chromebook’s Battery: Chromebooks must be brought to school each day in a fully charged condition. An AC charger is issued with each Chromebook for student charging at home. Repeated violations (a minimum of 3 days) of this procedure will result in students being required to “checkout” their Chromebook from the Library every day for three weeks. In cases where the battery does “run out”, students may be able to connect their Chromebook to a power outlet in class. Printing: Printing functionality will not be available. Teaching strategies will facilitate digital copies of homework.
Loaner Chromebooks. On a case-by-case basis, the Principal may approve the issuance of a loaner Chromebook. A loaner Chromebook may be issued to a student whose Chromebook is out for repairs. These devices may not be kept after school – even by high school students. The procedure for issuing loaner devices is:

Lost, Stolen or Vandalized Chromebooks If a Chromebook is stolen or vandalized during an educational activity inside the school day and the student is acting in good faith with the hardware; the student/parents shall contact the school office within 24 hours of the event and a replacement will be provided. If a student’s Chromebook is lost, stolen, or vandalized outside of the school day, the student or parents must contact the proper local law enforcement and the school to report a loss, theft or vandalism instance. Such reports must be made within 24 hours. Note: Losing a Chromebook during the school day, not acting in good faith, or failing to report within the time restraints accounts for negligence on the part of the student. Insurance covers accidental damage/warranty issues. Please protect your Chromebook against damage to the best of your ability.   • Allowable Customizations The Student is permitted to alter or add files to customize the assigned Computer to her/his own working style (i.e., background screens and images, display settings).

  • TOOL STORAGE 1. A company shall provide on all construction jobs in towns and cities, and elsewhere where reasonably necessary and practicable (or if requested buy the employee), a suitable and secure waterproof lock-up solely for the purpose of storing employees’ tools, and on multi-storey and major projects the company shall provide, where possible, a suitable lock-up for employees’ tools within a reasonable distance of the work area of large groups of employees.
