Common use of Local Union Meetings Clause in Contracts

Local Union Meetings. The Employer agrees to allow employees to leave work at 3:30 p.m., four times a year for the purpose of attending union meetings without loss of pay. The Union agrees to notify the Employer of the dates of such meetings at least two weeks prior to the meeting. Minimal staff coverage shall be maintained.

It is understood that, where Employees are working a shift which does not end at 16:30 hours by the conclusion of the one hour period described above, that these individuals are expected to return to work upon the conclusion of the Union meeting at the conclusion of the one hour period.
