Common use of Long Service Incentive Clause in Contracts

Long Service Incentive. 18.1. An employee shall be entitled to long service incentive payments or the equivalent time on paid leave as follows: (a) A one-off payment equivalent to one week’s pay after the completion of five years of continuous service with the Employer; (b) A one-off payment equivalent to two weeks’ pay after the completion of ten years of continuous service with the Employer; (c) A one-off payment equivalent to three weeks’ pay after the completion of fifteen years of continuous service with the Employer; (d) A one-off payment equivalent to three weeks’ pay after the completion of twenty years continuous service with the Employer; (e) A one-off payment equivalent to three weeks’ pay after the completion of twenty- five years continuous service with the Employer; (f) A one-off payment equivalent to four weeks’ pay after the completion of 30 years continuous service with the Employer; (g) A one-off payment equivalent to five weeks’ pay after the completion of thirty-five years continuous service with the Employer. 18.2. Payments for all such long service incentives should be calculated at the average weekly earnings of the preceding 52 weeks.
