Common use of Material in Personnel Files Clause in Contracts

Material in Personnel Files. Bargaining Unit members shall be informed of the placement in their personnel files of documents that are likely to result in an adverse job action. Bargaining unit members shall be entitled to a copy of any document placed in their personnel files. A Bargaining Unit member’s signature on any performance evaluation shall be viewed by the parties hereto only as representation that the Bargaining Unit member has read it, and shall not be viewed as a representation that the Bargaining Unit member has concurred with the contents or comments thereon. Except as provided in Section 17.2, the Bargaining Unit member shall be the last person to sign a document requiring signatures and no other comments may be made on record copies thereafter. The Bargaining Unit member shall receive a copy of the evaluation in its final form when the Bargaining Unit member signs it.
