Meal Breaks / Lunch Rooms. Employees assigned to District and to Regional Offices and to the Headquarters Office should be accorded an uninterrupted lunch period between the third (3rd) and fifth (5th) hours of duty where lunch periods are customarily taken to the maximum extent possible. Lunch periods may fall outside the 3rd and 5th hours of duty in offices where alternative work schedule arrangements are in place. The Service shall provide clean and healthful lunch rooms for the consumption of food, to the maximum extent possible, for all Service employees. Arrangements within Districts for lunch periods will be subject to supplemental negotiations.
