Common use of Meal Clause in Contracts

Meal. When an employee is required to and does work for three (3) or more hours of overtime after his normal s h i f t he shall be provided with a hot meal or four dollars ($4.00) if the Hospital is unable to provide the meal or has been unable to schedule a meal break during the overtime period. Notwithstanding the foregoing, where the overtime assign - ment is for a period of three hours, no more or less, the employee is not required to take a hot meal, i f available, and may claim the four dollars ($4.00) payment.
