Staff Replacement. The Employer is committed to ensuring efficient flexible rostering of employees dependent on the service requirements of the residents.

Staff Replacement. Council is committed to ensuring appropriate resources exist to provide services. By agreement at the Program Level, all leave, including but not limited to Annual Leave and Long Service Leave may, wherever possible and within the resources available, be replaced with temporary staff until the permanent staff member returns to work. We understand the proposed replacement personnel must meet minimum qualifications for skills and experience. RKV and its partners have stable workforces and the bench strength necessary to backfill positions with similarly qualified and experienced staff members. RKV also acknowledges unforeseen circumstances such as illness or sudden death do occasionally force the transfer of duties. In these cases, RKV will work diligently to locate staff with a similar set of skills and comparable experience equal to or better than the individual originally proposed. When possible, an existing RKV staff person will be placed in the position. If a backup staff person is unavailable to accept the assignment, RKV will consult with its partners to locate an appropriate staff person, and, if no likely resource can be found among our subcontractors, RKV will recruit for the position. RKV will post the opening through both internal and external sources. As soon as a qualified resource has been located and interviewed, we conduct any necessary background checks before the individual begins.
Staff Replacement. The parties agree that the Library Board shall be responsible for replacing staff who will not be at work because of illness, accident, leaves of absence or vacations. It is further agreed that employees shall notify the appropriate Manager, or designate, as soon as possible, for illness or accident and in accordance with written library procedures for leaves of absence or vacations. This agreement shall be in effect for the duration of the current Contract.
