MEDICAL LEAVE VERIFICATION. Existing negotiated contract language provides that sick leave utilization shall be for the physical and mental disability absence which makes continued employment impractical. The contract also provides that verification of sick leave use by unit members shall normally not be required for periods of absence less than five (5) consecutive days. When verification is needed, the following procedures will be used.
