Common use of Meeting Dispensed With Clause in Contracts

Meeting Dispensed With. (a) If the Member’s whereabouts are unknown to the Employer and the Association, the meeting contemplated in Article 20.3.1 above shall be dispensed with and the President may immediately give notice of dismissal in the same manner as described in Article 20.3.1. (b) In cases where there is reasonable cause to conclude that there is an immediate threat by the Member to an individual(s) at the University or to University property, or an immediate or serious threat to the functioning of the University, the Employer retains the right to immediately suspend a Member until the matter can be dealt with under Article 20, any such suspension to be with pay and benefits.
