Such LDNU and ADNU will be constructed and incorporated into the CAISO Controlled Grid pursuant to the provisions for Merchant Transmission Facilities in CAISO Tariff Sections 24.4.6.1 and 36.11

Merchant Option. This amendment corrects the table of contents to be consistent with the tariff record. Appendix EE, Appendix D Infrastructure security of CAISO Controlled Grid equipment and operations and control hardware and software is essential to ensure day-to-day CAISO Controlled Grid reliability and operational security. FERC will expect the CAISO, all Participating TOs, market participants, and Interconnection Customers interconnected to the CAISO Controlled Grid to comply with Applicable Reliability Criteriathe recommendations offered by the President's Critical Infrastructure Protection Board and, eventually, best practice recommendations from the electric reliability authority. All public utilities will be expected to meet basic standards for system infrastructure and operational security, including physical, operational, and cyber-security practices. The CAISO is proposing this change because the President’s Critical Infrastructure Protection Board requirements have been superseded by the Applicable Reliability Criteria which, as defined by the CAISO tariff, include NERC and WECC Reliability Standards as well as Local Reliability Criteria.
