Minority Participation Policy. It is the policy of the State of Georgia that minority business enterprises shall have the maximum opportunity to participate in the State purchasing and contracting process. Therefore, the State of Georgia encourages all minority business enterprises to compete for, win, and receive contracts for goods, services, and construction. Also, the State encourages all companies to sub-contract portions of any State contract to minority business enterprises. Consultants who utilize qualified minority subcontractors may qualify for a Georgia state income tax deduction for qualified payments made to minority subcontractors. See O. C. G. A. §48-7-38. Minority Participation Policy. The CM is advised that the Xxx County Board of County Commissioners has adopted a Resolution establishing an overall 10% goal for local Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) participation in County procurement's. CM will take all reasonable and necessary affirmative steps to assure that local DBE firms will be utilized for this PROJECT. This specific PROJECT will attempt to meet a 10% goal for Local DBE participation.

It is the policy of the OWNER to encourage the meaningful and significant participation at all levels (CONTRACTOR, Subcontractor, Suppliers and others) for business enterprises owned by persons or color and women – Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) and Women Business Enterprise (WBE). The CONTRACTOR is encouraged to use its reasonable efforts to encourage, promote and increase participation of business enterprises owned and controlled by persons of color or women (MBE/WBE) in the Project and to develop a policy to efficiently and effectively monitor such participation.

  • Financial Participation Prohibited Under Section 2155.004, Texas Government Code (relating to financial participation in preparing solicitations), Contractor certifies that the individual or business entity named in this Contract and any related Solicitation Response is not ineligible to receive this Contract and acknowledges that this Contract may be terminated and payment withheld if this certification is inaccurate.

  • Employee Participation The Employer will assist employees' participation in health promotion and health education programs. Health promotion and health education programs that have been endorsed by the Employer (Minnesota Management & Budget) will be considered to be non-assigned job-related training pursuant to Administrative Procedure 21. Approval for this training is at the discretion of the Appointing Authority and is contingent upon meeting staffing needs in the employee's absence and the availability of funds. Employees are eligible for release time, tuition reimbursement, or a pro rata combination of both. Employees may be reimbursed for up to one hundred (100) percent of tuition or registration costs upon successful completion of the program. Employees may be granted release time, including the travel time, in lieu of reimbursement.

  • Non-Participation in Insurance Your initials on this clause of the Agreement acknowledges the Patient’s understanding that neither the CLINIC, nor its Physician, participate in any health insurance or HMO plans or panels and cannot accept Medicare eligible patients. We make no representations that any fees that You pay under this Agreement are covered by your health insurance or other third party payment plans.
