Common use of Mowing Clause in Contracts

Mowing. a. Bermuda grass shall be mowed a minimum of two (2) times per week March 1 through October 31 or as often as necessary to maintain a height of 1.5 inch. Bermuda grass shall be mowed a minimum of one (1) time per week November 1 through February 28 to maintain a height of 1.5 inch. No more than 1/4 to 1/3 of the leaf areas shall be removed at each mowing. b. An eleven (11) blade reel mower or a ground contour rotary mower equal to or better than the Toro Groundsmaster 3505-D designed to mow Bermuda grass shall be used. Blades shall be kept sharpened to the degree necessary to obtain a clean cut c. Mowing patterns shall vary at forty five (45) degree angles from the previous mow pattern. d. All grass clippings that are not uniformly distributed, and/or detract from the appearance of the mowing operation, or threaten turf health shall be removed from the job site by the Contractor, upon completion of the mowing operation each day. Turf mowing shall have no effect with the roll of the athletic balls used on the fields for play. The Contractor shall consult with the Performance Administrator at conclusion of service. The Contractor shall remove and dispose of all grass clippings. The cost of grass clipping removal shall be included in the unit price quote for mowing. e. Mowing times shall be limited due to scheduling of the fields. The Performance Administrator shall provide a schedule of events when available. f. No mowing of ball fields shall be performed during or within two hours of rain or on wet areas of the fields. x. Xxxx-eating or Edging both sides of fence lines shall be completed once every two (2) weeks March 1 through October 31 and once per month from November 1 through February 28. Absolutely no chemical treatment of fence lines shall be used on any athletic turf field fences.
