National Board Certification for Teachers. 1. Any teacher who volunteers to participate in the National Board Certification Program (NBCP) will have the cost of the program paid by the district. Teachers will be reimbursed for the registration fee and initial fees for Components 1-4 upon written request to the Superintendent.

Any teacher who volunteers to participate in the National Board Certification Program (NBCP) will shall have the cost of the program paid by the district. Teachers District in the same manner as is prescribed under Section VII, Paragraph A of this contract except that the reimbursement for coursework will be reimbursed for at the registration fee and initial fees for Components 1-4 upon equivalent of six credit hours of graduate level work at the University of Maine. With the advance written request to approval of the Superintendent, the reimbursement may be made over a multiple-year period.
